What we're looking for:

We are in search of a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a wealth of experience in AWS services and Infrastructure as Code. In this role, you will become an integral part of our Platform team, collaborating closely with our product squads to co-design, manage, and oversee our application infrastructure.

How we collaborate:

Our organisational structure revolves around cross-functional squads, each working collaboratively towards data-driven goals. This position will be a valuable member of a 7-person cross-functional team. Additionally, you will work in close collaboration with our Platform Team to implement overarching initiatives.

What you’ll do:

As a member of the Perlego team, you will play a pivotal role in realising the Platform Team's vision. Your responsibilities will include co-administering the Perlego AWS Cloud, working in conjunction with our cross-functional squads. This will involve setting up and configuring deployment pipelines for both containerised and serverless applications. You will also be responsible for configuring development and test environments and engaging in co-designing infrastructure alongside our tech leads.

Your role will encompass monitoring platform activity and telemetry, co-managing cloud security, supporting platform releases, and collaborating with third-party service providers. Additionally, you will assist our teams in backup management and disaster recovery preparation.

This role aligns perfectly with your skill set if you possess:

• Experience in creating, managing, and monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing/administering Git-based repositories.
• Expertise in continuous integration/continuous delivery techniques and the implementation of DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation and Terraform).
• Hands-on experience with any configuration management tool (ansible preferred)
• Knowledge of Application and Infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Experience in managing Relational Databases and NoSQL Databases.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures, such as AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems and bash scripting.
• Understanding of containerised applications (Docker) and container management systems.

• Prior experience as a Platform Engineer.
• Prior SecOps experience
