Job:                    Mechanical Maintenance Engineers

Location:          Midsomer Norton & field based

Pay:                   £16ph to £18.50ph

Hours:              7am to 3.30pm but regular overtime required

Contract:        Permanent

We have exciting permanent job opportunities for experienced mechanical maintenance engineers in Midsomer Norton! Our client’s thriving maintenance company is expanding its business to cover quarries, factories, and recycling depots. As their new engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance to quarry, construction, manufacturing, and recycling industries.

You will be expected to work up to 50 hours per week, but with good enhancements on pay and excellent professional training and progression opportunities. Ideal candidates will be prepared to work 1 in 3 weekends, although that can be negotiated. Plus, unpaid TOIL can be booked off in addition to enhanced pay at the weekend (where weekend working is required).  Some of the work will be based at the workshop but the majority will be based on their clients’ sites within a daily commutable distance. However, due to the location of some of the sites there may be rare occasions to stay away. This is extremely rare and is voluntary. In such circumstances accommodation would be paid for (including breakfast) and subsistence would be paid for an evening meal.

All travel is in company vans, and your only commitment is to get to the client's site in Midsomer Norton. All work is generally in pairs - lone work is very unusual. Pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications, and overtime rates are time and a half and double time.

• Mechanical experience as a Maintenance Engineer / Welding experience
• Mechanical Qualifications / Coding Preferred
• Enhanced certification (such as IPAF / PASMA / SPA / Confined Space) beneficial
• Driving licence (own transport not necessary)
