CAD Design Engineer

Salary - Circa £40,000 DOE
Location - In office, Cannock

We're supporting a bespoke engineering solutions company; they operate across the UK but also globally! They're unrivalled in their experience to deliver temporary power solutions for events, sites, electric vehicles, and generators to name a few and across multiple sectors.

Due to an increased demand for their services, they're now looking for an additional CAD Design Engineer to help support their work volumes.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Build, manage and complete all CAD drawings as required
• Generation of 2D drawings & supplier approvals
• Generation of 3D models using SolidWorks, working with component parts as well as managing large assemblies and ensuring all drawings follow company standards
• Support production with technical support and advice
• Provide technical details for customers using their CAD services/files

Experiences required

• Proficient in 2D drawing using DraftSight, but other CAD packages will also be considered: FreeCAD, AutoCAD etc
• Proficient in 3D modelling using SolidWorks, but other CAD packages will also be considered: Inventor, Solid Edge, Fusion 360 etc
• Competent in creating designs for sheet metal, assemblies, and renders
• Educated within Engineering/Industrial at apprenticeship, HNC, HND, BA etc is advantageous
