Mechanical Shift Engineer (Days only)
Fantastic opportunity for a mechanical building services engineer to work a rare 4 on 4 off days only basis, (7am-6pm) on a commercial office building in the City. You will be working for a leading FM company and be paid a starting salary of £44,000 with overtime available.
Working with a shift Leader, you will be covering mechanical works on a wide range of building services reactive and planned maintenance throughout the commercial building. All shift teams have balance of electrical and mechanical support across the site.
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment.
- Monitor the BMS systems.
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
- General building fabric
- Escort specialist subcontractors
- Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.
- Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
- Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
- Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
- Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
- Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds/Degree Mechanical Engineering
- Two years post apprenticeship experience in similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of Building Services.
