Mechanical and Electrical Engineer (including HVAC and Water Hygiene)

We are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join our response department providing a multi-skilled maintenance service, that will include Mechanical & Electrical, HVAC and Water Hygiene services.  

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

• Commercial PPM & Reactive Maintenance  
• Emergency lighting both testing & remedials  
• PAT testing 
• Preparing risk assessments, method statements and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site including implementing safe working practices 

• Quality inspections and site visits 
• Production of quotes and estimates including correct parts and labour times  
• Servicing different types of ac systems  
  (i.e. Cassettes, Wall Mounts, Low Wall Mounts, VRV’s, Multi-Split) 
• Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and on HVAC and ventilation systems 
• Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks/cylinders 

• Visual inspections of water systems  
• Water sampling – taking samples, and recording site specific information.  
• Analysis of closed systems using a site test kit 
• Inspection and servicing of thermostatic mixer valves 
• Descaling & internal inspections of water heaters, shower heads and hoses 

• Mains injection pipework chlorination works 
• Plumbing & water treatment remedial  
• Using the click system to complete job sheets, carry out quotes and provide certifications 
• Ordering and sourcing materials 

Experience and qualifications required: 

• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment 
• Knowledge of Health & Safety 
• Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces 
• General maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical works 
• Full Driving Licence (not essential) 

• Previous experience with Mechanical & Electrical servicing & maintenance. 
• Good customer service skills 
• City & Guilds certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline 
• Previous use of handheld technology and email 

Job Type: Permanent and Full time 

Salary: 

£40k - £45k per annum 

Working Hours:  

8:00 – 17:00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break 

Monday to Friday
