Purpose:
Oversee the design of electrical installations in buildings, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage designs for both landlord-controlled and tenant-specific projects.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and users to maintain strong professional relationships.
Lead the adoption of health and safety standards in engineering projects and assist in updating engineering specifications and workload planning.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical services for buildings, adhering to professional, technical, and statutory standards.
Manage budgets, ensuring expenses align with allocated funds.
Develop feasibility studies, specifications, and contracts, coordinating with various stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments, approve safety plans, and maintain project documentation, including health and safety files.
Perform site surveys, compliance assessments, and design various electrical systems using industry-standard software.
Focus on energy conservation and sustainability in design projects.
Provide guidance on service contract specifications and oversee external consultants.
Meet financial targets and customer service standards.
Handle utility service applications and stay informed of legislative changes.
Contribute to workload planning, maintenance programming, budget management, and resource allocation.
Champion health and safety initiatives and ensure consistent documentation practices.
Perform additional duties as directed, within the scope of technical expertise.
