As a Test and Inspection Electrician within our AES Business Unit, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical installations and systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, testing electrical systems, identifying hazards, and providing recommendations for remedial actions. You'll collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and fellow team members to uphold industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical inspection and testing in industrial environments
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports
- Perform electrical remedial work and installation tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and latest 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
- C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
- C&G Level 3/NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline or equivalent
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- FET/Periodic Electrical Tester certification knowledge
- Proven experience in electrical inspection and testing in an industrial environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams or independently
- Sound judgement and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to respond to unforeseen events and safety issues
- Company van and fuel card
