Job Title; CAD Technician
Salary; £30,000 to £38,000 per annum depending upon experience
Shift Pattern; Monday-Friday days
Location; Nuneaton
Our client are a leader in the design, manufacture and supply of commercial glazing products to the construction sector across the UK. They are involved in a vast array of projects including residential accommodation, public buildings and retail premises. They are looking to strengthen their in-house design team by appointing a CAD Technician
The CAD Technician Role;
- Produce CAD designs for curtain-wall systems, commercial glazing and cladding systems.
- Designs to be used as the basis for pricing, scheduling, programming and project management.
- Attend design meetings with external client.
- Liaise with structural engineers.
- Issue RFI schedules.
- Produce design reports.
- Prepare schedule of materials required against the design.
- Work with Contracts, Project and Site managers to ensure production and delivery of design and associated information on time as required.
The CAD Technician Candidate;
- Previous, recent experience in a similar role within glazing, curtain walls, facades etc.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- IT literate with knowledge of MS Office and in particular Excel
- UK driving licence
