Design Management Opportunity (Hybrid) – Central Manchester - £80,000 + Package – Leading Regional Contractor

I am reaching out to you as I am currently working with a £400m T/O Main Contractor who have expanded their operations into the North of England. My client specialises in large Residential, Student Accommodation and Hotel schemes with a real strength in high rise and RC Frame led projects.

The Role

My client are looking to recruit a Design Manager to act as number 2 to the already established Design Lead. You will be responsible for Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise. Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate. Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales. Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and their obligations in the development of a building design.

The Project

A £120m, 39 Storey Mixed-Use Student Accommodation scheme with almost 1000 units in Manchester. Project duration is circa 3.5 years, a potential 2nd phase, and further work in the area on other schemes.
