Engine Test and Validation Engineer – Peterborough

Initial 12-month contract – extension likely

We’re looking for an Engine Test and Validation Engineer to work within our client’s global engine test facility. Whilst this is an initial 12-month contract assignment, there are heaps of development opportunities on offer where you will be assisting in the sign-off of a variety of engine testing and validation programmes, for international customers.

Core remit of the Engine Test and Validation Engineer may include;

  • Create detailed test planning, execution of testing activities, analysis of results, and documentation with clear recommendations for the relevant process partners.
  • Carry out complex engine validation tests
  • Evaluate products and processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
  • Communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders

Skills, experience & qualifications will include; 

  • Experience in validation of engines and engine systems
  • Hands on engine testing and problem-solving experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum
  • Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment and test data logging systems.
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
