Working within the Vessel Operation Team, the Mechanical Technician will build and maintain the mechanical assembly of the vessel.

You'll be working Monday to Friday hours as part of multi-skilled team with a strong focus on quality, working with ground breaking technology and high value premium parts/ materials.

Suitable candidates will need Mechanical experience with a qualified apprenticeship, ideally with experience in a similar sector such as marine, automotive or aerospace. Knowledge of electrical systems LV, HV, EV's and some Hydraulics is an advantage.

The Role

• Mechanical assembly, build and install on new vessels
• Carry out diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
• Mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
• Optimise mechanical efficiency, adjusting machinery and equipment
• Record and document mechanical service records
• Monitor availability of parts and supplies
• Work in other areas of production as part of a team if required
• Work to high quality standards and good H&S practice

What we are looking for

• Level 3 apprenticeship in a Mechanical discipline
• Proven Mechanical experience, preferably automotive, marine or aerospace
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, install, maintenance and repairs
• Can read and understand engineering drawings
• Strong analytical, fault finding and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of electrical systems HV, LV and EV's is an advantage
• Knowledge of hydraulics and composites is an advantage
