If you are an engineering professional who is experienced with delivering projects and have fantastic problem solving skills, then we have the role for you!

We are working exclusively with a major player within the ingredients sector, who are growing and part of a larger group, in the search for a Group Engineering Projects Manager to join their team in Norfolk.  This role will see you lead and manage projects across all their UK Manufacturing sites as well as giving you exposure to international projects!

The person that will be successful as the Group Engineering Projects Manager will have:

  • Good communication
  • Strong people and time management
  • Great problem solving skills
  • Commercial awareness

As a company, they’ve been operating for over 150 years and within their sector and are in the top 10 in both world and European capacity sales. Privately owned and well invested in, the company employs 260 people with a turnover of £125M. They are working toward an expansion, a large amount of capital projects and also some acquisition, as well as carrying out multiple modernisation upgrades across their sites which will give you plenty to get your teeth into.

To be successful you will have:

  • An Engineering degree or other relevant qualification including time served
  • Led projects between £50,000 to £500,000 or have experience leading multiple projects
  • Worked within a manufacturing environment but ideally within food manufacturing
  • Ideally you will have strong experience within DSEAR or worked within a dust risk business

Some of the key responsibilities of the Group Engineering Projects Manager are:

  • Complete outline scope proposals, and review, for projects targeted in strategic planning.
  • From project scope develop and theory test outline solutions with internal customers.  Follow the company Management of Change process.
  • Create project cost analysis, timeline and proposals for presentation and approval.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project management reviews and meetings.  To include suppliers, contractors, and site contacts.
  • Review and report on project levels of success, budget compliance, commissioning, and handover to relevant site team.

They are offering the successful candidate circa £60,000 per annum plus bonus, car allowance and other benefits.
